Leeds Art Gallery - John Atkinson Grimshaw

An 80 piece commission comprising mugs and coasters - a creative vision driven by the work of one of Leeds’ famous painters, John Atkinson Grimshaw.

A milestone in my creative practice, this commission helped me to develop creatively and logistically. Working within the constraint of two glazes, specifically inspired by the Iris and Park row Grimshaw works, I designed each of the two mug designs to compliment the physical characteristics of the glazes themselves.
